Moving from Subversive to Subclipse in FDT3

SUBVERSIVE is delivered with FDT3 but you can easily move from it to another SVN client.


If you prefer SUBCLIPSE or if you’re used to using it, you have to remove SUBVERSIVE before the Subclipse installation. It can be difficult if you don’t know ECLIPSE platform.

STEP 1 :

menu_subclipse_fdt

Open FDT 3, and open the "Manage Configuration" window.

STEP 2 :

svnkit_fdt

Find SVNKIT 1.2.0 and click on Disable to desactivate this extension. You may have to restart FDT

STEP 3:

svnconnector_fdt

Find "Subversive SVN Connector" and click on Disable to desactivate this extension. You may have to restart FDT

STEP 4:

svnteamprovider_fdt

Find "SVN Team Provider" and click on Disable to desactivate this extension. You may have to restart FDT

STEP 5:

Open "Find and Install" window on "Help"

Open "Find and Install" window on "Help"

STEP 6:

Choose new Feature To Install

Choose "new Feature To Install"

STEP 7:

Add a new remote site : http://subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.6.x

Add a new remote site : http://subclipse.tigris.org/update_1.6.x

STEP 8:

findandinstall-3

Select all extension (Don't select Mylyn connector if you don't use it)

STEP 9:

Follow download and installation instruction, restart FDT, and It’s done !
